Kiva
Here at Synchro ERP we have been proud to support many people through Kiva since 2013 and during that time we have loaned to 8 people/groups – Each time one is paid back we are able to re lend that money to another.
This year we have increased our loan amount so we will be able to help even more ..
Our first loan went to Stanley back in 2013 we lent him $25 of $300 he needed to help him buy spare parts for his motorcycle ;
Stanley's story
Stanley is a single man living in Kenya He describes himself to be a hardworking and trust worthy man. He operates a motorcycle where he provides transportation services. His business is located in a suitable and viable business area and his primary customers are local residents. He describes his biggest business challenge to be insufficient funds for improving the business. He will use the KES 25,000 loan (approx $250) to buy spare parts for his motorcycle. His business goal is to expand the business within 5 years.

Our most recent loan has gone to Philis' Group – Here is their story ;
Philis is a 50-year-old proud mother of three children. She is a group leader, often described as a very reliable person, and is representing her group of 16 farmers in Kimilili District of Kenya. Since joining One Acre Fund in 2015, She has noticed that she has had more profits from each harvest.
Philis described her harvest as good last year, but believes she can have a better one this year by continuing to work with One Acre Fund. She is very excited to also be purchasing (with our help) a solar light, apart from fertilizer and maize, because she will now be able to reduce the consumption of paraffin fuel and therefore save more money. With the profits from this season’s harvest, she plans to send her children to school.
With this loan of $1475, Philis’s Group will be able to plant a total of 14.5 acres of land and purchase a total of nine solar lights.

Kiva is an amazing charity and we at Synchro are so pleased to be involved.
Keep an eye out on our Social Media pages fro regular updates.

Living in South Africa
Arriving for the first time and as a well-travelled individual, the first thing I noticed is that it looked remarkably familiar...but different. This is the same kind of initial impression I had when I first visited Australia and New Zealand. The common theme here of course is that these countries are all part of the Commonwealth and part of their legacies are very similar indeed.
Security and Violence in South Africa are well-documented topics on the worldwide news. The first drive away from the airport revealed a landscape with houses and heavy electric fencing, a very unusual sight.

Well, part of Team Synchro are in Fort Worth for Casting Congress 2018.
Its a historic town with a blend of the old and the new where the food is superb and the people are friendly. A town where even the horses get pedicures !!!
